"This, experts say, may solve all of the worlds problems, including homosexuality." How does roof gardening solve homosexuality? What does that have to do with the subject of making a cleaner planet? Are you suggesting that we must clean up gays to clean up the planet? You must be religious. You should really just remove that comment from your article because, seriously - it was good otherwise. How about just post a different article with your opinions about homosexuality. In it, you can exhibit as much lack of knowledge as you want; those who agree with you will read the article and appreciate you validating them. Those that do not agree with you will not. It's sloppy as a writer, however, to sneak your editorial opinions into a completely unrelated subject.

To bad Gore is full of it. I was personally offended that he won a Nobel Prize. The man has no idea what he is talking about and his film is complete and utter rubbish. His hockey stick graph was purposefully made to be misleading.
Recently there have been reports from the BBC and others saying that the climate hasnt warmed significantly since 98. Also one of Gores main sources for his film has recently recanted his statements that global warming would cause more hurricanes. He also agrees that there hasnt been any significant change in the mean global temperature for the past decade.
I am all for keeping the the environment clean from toxic waste and sludge but listening to some people spout on and on about this farcical global warming hoax is to much to bear sometimes.
Most the people that talk about green topics dont even research what the hell is going on. That is exactly the reason why Al Gore has been able to do what he has. most people just follow what ever is told to them by the media or our politicians.
How hypocritical is it to have a global concert series that wastes energy left and right? Think of all the energy that went in to make those concerts happen. The energy to get the artists and audience there, the energy to light the stages and run the sound equipment, the energy to make food and then the wastes that were produced after words. Think off all the trash that was piled up afterwards.
When Gore was asked about the goal of the concert series, he said it was to raise awareness. how much awareness do you need ? Come on. I have been force fed this global warming and green house effect crap since i was a little kid in elementary school. Everyone has heard about global warming. Its a bunch of bullsh*t propaganda.
Think about it.

Think about this...your first word of your letter is grammatically incorrect. You mean too, and not to. You make this mistake again later.
Thank you for showing the true intellectual capacity of a Republican.

Gay-bashing isn't green. Beyond that, it appears this article was written by a semi-literate grade schooler. Useless.

Dripper trackers are simply mechanisms to let water out of a bucket at the right rate to turn an equatorial mount at 15 degrees per hour. When turning is at that rate, anything pointed at the sun and connected to the axis will remain pointed at the sun all day. There are 2 types of dripper tracker. A water clock based one and one which uses a clock to control the speed. They are on solarcooking.org Low tech tracking is a pretty big deal if it can be shown to be effective. For instance for a minimal dollar amount, tracking increases the production of solar panels by at least 20%. For 3rd world uptake of solar cooking, tracking would be even more valuable. Parabolic dishes need to constantly track the sun. Low tech tracking would increase the value of these devices. the dripper trackers are also on utube. Brian White BC Canada

Start with Al Gore. Someone checked the public records and his house in Tennessee uses enough energy to power a small city. His lame excuse was that he buys carbon offsets and was planning to buy solar panels. But he wrote his first book about the environment 15 years ago - why is he just buying solar panels now, after a reporter calls ? Ross Perot said it best: "An activist is not someone who says the river is dirty - an activist is someone who cleans the river." Has anyone on this list ever cleaned a river ? Or done anything to help the environment other than use their voice or public funds - and done it without alerting the media first ?

I don't like Nader, but shouldn't he be on this list? I mean he in the GREEN Party. The fact that he doesn't even get a mention discredits your list.

Seriously?! Wtf, Bush is on there.
Just because your house is nice and green doesn't make you a green politician.
And really, to segway between Spitzer and Bush with the phrase "hard to swallow" is just wrong.

What kinds of green technology do you wish they would invent?
I'll start off with one: a keyboard that takes takes the energy from your typing and uses it to help power your computer (especially for laptops).
